I really really love the open musical sound of Musical Fidelity amplifiers. A Class AB amplifier is CALLED AB because it operates Class A at lower power levels and then only goes into Class B when power peaks demand it. They produce excessive heat and seldom have enough power to drive speakers adequately. However in the past I tried with other speakers and not always watts = drive, sometimes class A drive is different and goes along well with some speakers, so that is why I was asking if somebody tried them with class A. And because I will be equalizing for fuller bass, I will be feeding the amplifier a perceived quieter signal to provide headroom for more bass, therefor needing to increase the amplifier gain somewhat compared to no equalizing. After looking at reviews and checking out some of the relevant threads Ive decided to demo the Dali Menuets (possibly also the Dali Opticon 2s for comparison) and the KEF LS50 Metas. In Amir's review of the LS50 Meta, I understood that the speakers are mostly 4 Ohm, but they have low sensitivity. I don't need sub-bass, but I enjoy a full sound with bass around 60 Hz. But I never, ever listen to music any louder than that.
